Walk a few minutes downhill and you’ll reach the River Usk – one of the finest brown trout fisheries in Britain.
Take a gentle amble along the towpath of the Monmouth and Brecon Canal – spot the wildlife as the boats go by.
Or stride into the mountains and some of in the UK – in the unspoiled Black Mountains and the popular Brecon Beacons National Park.
The Beacons are an International Dark Skies Reserve – which makes the stars a sight to behold. And there’s much more – with caving, climbing, paragliding, cycling, riding and boating on Llangorse lake on offer too.
Grab your car keys and visit Big Pit mining museum and you can go underground as the coalminers did. Or visit the dinosaurs and show caves at Dan-yr-Ogof.
